What We Collect

We collect account details needed to provide access, such as name, email, phone number, access tier, disclaimer status, and usage records for credit-based tools. Admin-only planning features may include client planning inputs when an admin creates a planning case.

How We Use Data

We use data to authenticate users, apply gated access rules, operate dashboards, manage announcements, route workflow requests, send admin-requested planning reports, and improve product reliability during the beta.

AI And Usage Logs

Premium Chat requests may be processed by OpenRouter and the selected underlying AI provider. When a question needs current information, limited external web search may also be used. Chat responses visibly distinguish Finance Butler knowledge, Daniel's portfolio and research, and external information. We send a hashed internal user identifier rather than an email address and require compatible providers to operate with zero data retention and data collection denied.

Finance Butler may also use customer-safe, paraphrased derivatives of financial education and research curated by Daniel. These derivatives are separated from private originals, screened for publication rights and freshness, and labelled as Finance Butler Curated Knowledge. They are not presented as Daniel's own research unless Daniel is the confirmed author. Private source provenance is restricted to authorised Super Admin review and is not exposed through customer retrieval.

We record usage needed to enforce Chat safety and cost limits, including the selected model, provider-reported cost, token counts, web-search count, response time, and cited evidence. Trade-intel credits continue to be tracked separately on the user profile.

Access And Retention

Access is limited to approved users. Admin tools are restricted to admin accounts. Premium Chat conversations and messages are retained for 30 days from the latest activity and are then automatically deleted. Users can delete a conversation sooner from Chat. Limited server-side cost and security records may be retained for operations, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, or legal requirements.

Security

The app uses Supabase authentication, row-level database controls, server-side provider credentials, encrypted per-user provider keys, request and spending limits, and weekly trade-intel credits. Provider credentials are never exposed to the browser. No system is risk-free, so users should avoid entering account passwords, broker credentials, private banking details, or other sensitive personal information into Chat.
